This yearʻs Bike Down will benefit the heart and home of our work - the Bikery! The Bikery is Cycles of Change's community bike shop, nestled right in between the San Antonio and Fruitvale neighborhoods of East Oakland, just half a mile from our humble beginnings at our first Bike Club school site ever - Roosevelt Middle School!
The Bikery is a friendly neighborhood community bike shop, run by an all people of color collective of Oakland educators. We are committed to making bikes accessible to everyone. We offer a range of used bikes for sale, low cost repairs, youth internships, job training, classes and community events. we also have a community repair space where you can work on your own bike, or find out about opportunities to get a bike if you can't afford one, through our youth Earn-A-Bike and adult UpCycle programs.
